Leos are  considered a rare breed but back in 1993 when the first Leo litter arrived in NZ, they were uba rare and we just knew one of them had to be ours. Sabra arrived at our home after a lengthy flight at just 8 weeks old and of course it was love at first sight.She became a Champion in 1994 at just 13 months old. With no other Leos in NZ except her parents and siblings we were unable to mate her so she lived as our family pet for many years. When we purchased a new property the swimming pool became a problem. It was very deep and only had a ladder style exit. Leos are water crazy and out of concern for her safety we had to rehome her for her last few years.
Our love for her was returned in so many ways. Her loyalty and gentleness was wonderful and we hold many happy memories of her antics.
